Bitcoin Roulette Strategies
There are as many winning roulette strategies as many people in the casino. 24 However, some strategies have more merit than others. 25 Below, you can find four of the most popular strategies tested by millions of players online and around the roulette tables in brick-and-mortar casinos. Word of caution: strategies may improve your chance of winning, but there are no guarantees. Every strategy involves an element of luck, so do not gamble with money you cannot afford to lose!
Martingale

| System type | Negative progression |
| Bet type | any 1:1 bet |
Martingale roulette system is the devil! It might be the most popularized and most dangerous roulette system out there. While all negative progression systems have a risk of wiping out your balance, Martingale is almost guaranteed to do it! 26 So how does it work? Every time you lose a bet, you double the money you’ve been betting. Simple. Unfortunately, that means that the maximum amount you can win using the martingale system is your base unit bet. Imagine a scenario where you continue doubling your bet on a losing streak: $1, $2, $4, $8, $16, $32, $64, $128, and finally, on $256, you hit. Your profit? The number you started from $1.
| Bet | Outcome | Balance after bet |
|---|---|---|
| $1 | WIN (+$1) | $101 |
| $1 | WIN (+$1) | $102 |
| $1 | WIN (+$1) | $103 |
| $1 | WIN (+$1) | $104 |
| $1 | LOSE (-$1) | $103 |
| $2 | LOSE (-$2) | $101 |
| $4 | LOSE (-$4) | $97 |
| $8 | LOSE (-$8) | $89 |
| $16 | WIN (+$32) | $105 |
| $1 | WIN (+$1) | $106 |
Fibonacci

| System type | Negative progression |
| Bet type | any 1:1 or 2:1 bet |
The Fibonacci roulette system follows a numerical sequence that determines the size of your bet. 27 In the Fibonacci sequence, each number equals the sum of two preceding numbers. As usual, you start with your base bet, and if you lose, you move on to the following number in the sequence. After a win you revert back to the base bet. You can use this system on even bets like red/black, even/odd or on 2:1 bets like dozen or column bets. The latter is my favorite. To see a real money test of this strategy, read my article on the Fibonacci dozens strategy.
| Bet | Outcome | Balance after bet |
|---|---|---|
| $1 | WIN (+$1) | $101 |
| $1 | WIN (+$1) | $102 |
| $1 | WIN (+$1) | $103 |
| $1 | WIN (+$1) | $104 |
| $1 | LOSE (-$1) | $103 |
| $1 | LOSE (-$1) | $102 |
| $2 | WIN (+$4) | $106 |
| $1 | LOSE (-$1) | $105 |
| $1 | WIN (+$1) | $106 |
| $1 | WIN (+$1) | $107 |
D’alembert

| System type | Positive progression |
| Bet type | any bet |
D’alembert roulette system, also known as the pyramid system or seesaw system, is a positive progression strategy where if you lose, you increase your bet by one unit. If you win, you decrease it by one unit. 28 The theory is that you will capitalize on winning streaks while slowly recuperating losing streaks. It is worth mentioning that D’alembert, after whom this system is named, falsely believed in the equilibrium effect, which suggested that if in a coin flip, heads came up, it was more likely that the next flip would land on tails. Now, this false belief is known as the Gambler’s Fallacy 29.
| Bet | Outcome | Balance after bet |
|---|---|---|
| $ | WIN (+$) | $10 |
| $ | WIN (+$) | $10 |
| $ | WIN (+$) | $10 |
| $ | WIN (+$) | $10 |
| $ | LOSE (-$) | $10 |
| $ | LOSE (-$) | $10 |
| $ | WIN (+$) | $10 |
| $ | LOSE (-$) | $10 |
| $ | WIN (+$) | $10 |
| $ | WIN (+$) | $10 |
Paroli

| System type | Positive progression |
| Bet type | any 1:1 bet |
Paroli roulette strategy is a positive progression system where, on every winning bet, you keep your winning on the table and repeat the bet as many times as your progression limit allows. 30 Progression limit is how often you allow yourself to re-bet the money during a winning streak. When you reach your progression limit you go back to the base bet.
The table below provides an example of a short session using the Paroli system, with a $1 base unit bet, a progression limit of 3 consecutive wins, and a $100 starting balance.
| Bet | Outcome | Balance after bet |
|---|---|---|
| $1 | WIN (+$1) | $101 |
| $2 | WIN (+$2) | $103 |
| $4 | WIN (+$8) | $107 |
| $1 | WIN (+$1) | $108 |
| $2 | LOSE (-$2) | $106 |
| $1 | LOSE (-$1) | $105 |
| $1 | WIN (+$1) | $106 |
| $2 | LOSE (-$2) | $104 |
| $1 | WIN (+$1) | $105 |
| $2 | WIN (+$2) | $107 |

French Roulette Bets Explained
French roulette allows you to place a couple of additional types of bets that would be more complicated to place on any other roulette table. 31 It’s all thanks to a racetrack betting area. It usually looks like this:

The racetrack is great for betting on certain areas of the roulette wheel; let’s say you feel like the ball is landing more often on the number neighboring zero. All you need to do is choose the neighboring numbers of zero you want to bet on by adjusting the number on the right side of the screen and clicking on ‘0’ on the racetrack.
Four special bets are available on the racetrack. All have French names and cover a substantial part of the wheel, so I explain them in detail below.
Voisins du Zero

Neighbors of zero – This bet covers 17 numbers surrounding zero with trio, split, and corner bets; depending on which number the ball lands on, the payout will be 17:1, 11:1, or 8:1. Chances of winning this bet are 45.95%.
Jue Zero

Zero game – This bet, like neighbors of zero, covers 6 numbers closest to zero. Payout on all numbers is 17:1 ap[art from 26, which is 35:1. The chances of winning this bet are 18.92%.
Le Tiers du Cylinder

Thirds of the wheel – This bet covers 12 numbers opposite neighbors of zero. On all covered number the payout is 17:1. Chances of winnings are 32.43%.
Orphelins

Orphans – This best covers numbers left from neighbors of zero and thirds of the wheel. Payout is 17:1 on all numbers except 1, where the payout is 35:1. Chances of winning this bet are 22%.
Finales

Finals – this bet covers all numbers ending with a specific digit (Finale 4 en plein in the example above):. Payout on all bets is 35:1. Chances of hitting 4 number combinations are 10.81%, and for 3 digit combinations, chances are 8.11%.
How to Choose the Best Crypto Roulette Site

- Trusting the Fancy Homepage Syndrome: We’ve all been there. 32 You land on a site with a homepage that looks very professional. You think, “This looks legit!” But remember, just because it’s got the bling doesn’t mean it’s the real thing. It’s like falling for a shiny sports car that has no engine—pretty useless when it comes to actually driving anywhere.
- Ignoring the Fine Print Fiasco: Have you ever agreed to terms and conditions without reading them? Of course, you have. But in the crypto world, this could be like agreeing to sell your soul in exchange for those sweet, sweet spins. Make sure you know what you’re signing up for. Otherwise, you might end up with more fees than winnings, and that’s no jackpot.
- Falling for the Bonus Trap: Ah, the allure of a fat bonus. It’s like someone dangling a $100 bill in front of you. But here’s the catch: to actually get that bonus, you might need to jump through more hoops than a circus tiger. It’s one of the main reasons why 48% of British gamblers would prefer NOT to receive free bets and bonus offers. 33 Be sure to read the bonus conditions, or you’ll end up wondering why your winnings feel like Monopoly money.
- The ‘It Won’t Happen to Me’ Delusion: We all like to think we’re invincible, but the truth is, your hard-earned crypto can vanish faster than socks in a dryer if the site isn’t secure. 34 Check for proper encryption, two-factor authentication, and other security features. Better safe than sorry… or broke.
- Assuming All Crypto Roulette Sites Are Equal: Just because they all serve up roulette doesn’t mean they’re the same. Some have better odds, more games, or even different rules. It’s like thinking every burger tastes the same because, well, it’s a burger. Spoiler alert: they don’t. Do your homework, and don’t settle for a site just because it’s the first one that shows up on Google.
FAQ
Is crypto roulette different from regular roulette?
Yes, crypto allows you to play all the same roulette games as the ones you can play with your local currency, like live dealer roulette, auto-roulette or virtual roulette, but on top of that, a lot of crypto casinos offer their own provably fair 35 version of roulette that is available only to crypto players.
Is crypto roulette rigged?
No, reading through forums 36 you will encounter a lot of talk about casinos allegedly using magnets, blowing air or just faking the results of the wheel. The truth is that the odds of roulette are stacked against the player anyway, and bet limits render most roulette strategies impractical to follow. In the long run, the casino always wins, so there is no need for the roulette wheel to be rigged.
How do I choose a trustworthy online casino for roulette?
Pick one from the list at the top of the page! I’ve personally tested and bet real money on multiple roulette games in those casinos so you can rest assured they’re the best roulette casinos out there.
Is crypto roulette safe and legal?
Yes, generally, crypto roulette is safe and legal. 37 You need to consider your local laws and make sure you choose a trustworthy online casino nonetheless.
Is crypto roulette provably fair?
Not all crypto roulette is provably fair. If you want to play provably fair roulette I recommend original provably fair roulette from bc.game.
